- Update: 8/16/2012: Every letter, email and phone call is a matter of public record. The more the City Council receives, the more reason we give them to move on this important issue. The city council is likely not to answer emails. If they do take the time to begin a dialog with you continue to communicate respectfully and with compelling challenging information. If you are in positive dialog with a council member please email us at justfixit@cox.net. We can assist you with critical points that give real leverage to your arguments.
All letters address different aspects of fluoridation.
Reading these letters is a fast education. The most politically
effective points concerning fluoride are all covered here

CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Educate yourself by watching the videos and reading the many fascinating articles in this blog. Also read all the template letters. IT'S A NUMBERS GAME. So email any and all representatives frequently, as often as you can and CC: YOUR FRIENDS. Send each of the five letters to every member of the City Council. One each week. Be a warrior a shameless juggernaut of democracy, a monument to justice but most importantly a protector of infant brain development, a protector of the weak, uninformed and the poor.
Above all!
Be civil and kind. Communicate facts in volume. Science based political change is what we want. Kind words patients and intelligent communication bring this about. Use your aggression to recruit friends and family to use this blog and the SDSDW.org website. Join us at the Joyce Beers Center each month to discuss more aggressive solutions and tactics planned for 2012.
- Step 2: Email all of our City Council members in your own words. Do it every week in addition mailing pre-formatted letter. This keeps it personal and official. Keep the data flying at your representatives. We suggest you download all the letters here and put them all in a folder on your computer for easy access and "polishing". Then you simply click edit, view, copy and paste and email! It's as simple as that!

EMAIL THE COUNCIL MEMBERS. Again, you can also click here to instantly load all eight addresses into your email client. Or you can copy and paste the list below into your email To: field or (preferably) into the Bcc: field to contact all eight City Council members all at once:
sherrilightner@sandiego.gov, kevinfaulconer@sandiego.gov, toddgloria@sandiego.gov, anthonyyoung@sandiego.gov, carldemaio@sandiego.gov, loriezapf@sandiego.gov, martiemerald@sandiego.gov, davidalvarez@sandiego.gov

WHO IS MY REPRESENTATIVE?
Below are photos, names and associated email addresses of each City Council Member with a district map at the bottom of the page. Click "District 1", 2 etc. to view your council representatives own web page. You can click their email to begin writing your own email from there. Remember heart-felt pleas are nice but you must remind your representative that you mean business. Demands made respectfully, with accurate facts will help tip the scale and help to end the fluoridation program. Anger is counterproductive. Keep your letters positive and base your thoughts on the most politically forceful issues about fluoride (which can be found in many videos, pre-written letters and in the body of this blog). The science as explained by the Videos by Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Connett will help you a great deal. Take notes and construct your own letter to your representative. Write them often. It IS a numbers game. The more often they are called and receive letters, emails and phone calls the closer we get to eliminating this threat to our health and well being.
Click District 1, 2, 3... below to go to the contact page for that particular Council Member. You can obtain the most current phone numbers etc. We don't list phone numbers because they change often.

Great resource, thanks! But where is the district map? And can you list phone numbers for council members?
ReplyDeleteI would suggest you simply google for their phone numbers so you can start right away. In the mean time I will find a list and publish it as soon as possible. Thank you for your question.
